Intro

This document have my notes on how I deployed an active directory (AD) in GCP.

There are multiple ways to deploy active directory. The easiest is using GCP’s Marketplace to create a fault-tolerant configuration with two domain controllers (DCs)

Steps

 

  • Find the offering: https://console.cloud.google.com/marketplace/config/click-to-deploy-images/msad

  • Select the zones for deployment of the DCs. Specify your new domain name. Typically, convention ends them in .local for development setups
